I've been holding off on posting anything as the year began, but it's time.
4 years ago I began baking sourdough bread. It started out of stubbornness (it took an additional 2 years to even get my starter going, I've been in this for the long haul)
But then it transformed into something more. In my darkest days, at rock bottom, baking sourdough gave me an outlet. It allowed me to pour my energy into creating something for others. Spreading happiness over warm bread and coffee.
Honestly, most days baking was the only thing that got me out of bed.
After nearly 17 months in Port Aux Basques, I climbed out of that hole, and now it's time that I focus on what's next for me.
I'm not saying I'm done baking- but I want to focus my energy elsewhere.
I am so incredibly grateful to have met so many amazing people through this journey, and I hope you stick around to see what comes next. This page will stay active, and over time I plan to continue baking, I just don't know what that looks like yet.
AND to top it off, since September we have collected $92 for the breakfast program at SJE! I will be matching this, and in total we will be donating $184 to the breakfast program!!
Thank you so much for everything ❤️
