🫐 Celebrating PEI-grown blueberries!

Food Island Partnership had a great day with Lynda, Phil & Earl learning all about the amazing highbush blueberries grown at Lorne Valley Ranch.

We’re so fortunate to have incredible blueberries grown right here on Prince Edward Island, Canada’s Food Island. ❤️

🫐 Fun fact: Did you know the tiny seeds inside a blueberry can tell a story about pollination? Each seed develops as a result of successful pollination, highlighting just how important our hardworking bees and other pollinators are to a great blueberry crop! 🐝

A big thank you to Phil & Earl for sharing your knowledge, passion and time with us today. We learned so much and loved seeing PEI agriculture in action!
