Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words. We lost our beloved Uncle Leo Ryan, an amazing man and farmer in Torbay, NL.

It was a privilege to be there for his wake and funeral.

I'm back now and the cranberries are happily bouncing along the grading line and into the bags. We have them fresh for a few more weeks and then will have some frozen ones available while they last.

Thursday of this week offers a Chicken Pot Pie Meal, which includes a homemade chicken pot pie with stuffing crust, cranberry sauce made with Lighthouse Berry Farm cranberries, and a loaf of sourdough bread, available for $60, payable by cash or e-transfer. Borrowed Kitchen is located at 384 Pownal Road and is open Thursday from 10 to 2. There are 8 homemade meal deals available, featuring various local ingredients.

CRANBERRIES! Our farm stand at 882 Point Prim Road, Belfast is stocked each morning with fresh Island Cranberries. They are $3/lb and are packaged as 2 and 5 lb bags. Cranberries are very good for your health and freeze really well too. It's a beautiful time of year to visit Belfast - the tree colours are lovely along the drive and the Lighthouse is beautiful!

We are excited to once again launch our new CRANBERRY crop harvest just in time for Farm Day in the City, which is on Sunday, October 5th from 10 am to 4 pm. Our booth is on Queen Street, across from the Confederation Centre. We look forward to seeing you there!

Great news! We will be doing out first ever HONEYCRISP and GALA APPLE U-PICKS this weekend (September 27 - 28):

SATURDAY U-PICK: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
SUNDAY U-PICK: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Our trees are full of beautiful, delicious apples! The price is $1.50/lb and we ask that you bring your own bags if possible. We accept cash or e-transfer. Thank you!

Our Highbush Blueberry UPick is now closed for the season.

We still have a limited quantity of blueberries in our farmstand today and tomorrow, but we expect to close the stand once those berries are sold tomorrow.

We are very grateful for your support over a somewhat challenging growing season!

We look forward to Cranberry season in about mid-October!
