Wintermoor Orchard will officially be closing the gate this evening. Its been a long couple of weeks for us, with unpredictable weather, but so many happy visitors.
Thank you to everyone who came out to see the blossoms but in particular, the many professional photographers who worked with the weather, to accommodate so many families and make so many beautiful memories.
There are still some spots in the orchard, with blossoms, but petal fall is well under way and the development of fruitlets is already set on some of the early varieties.
We hope to see you this fall, for an amazing apple picking experience!

The Empires, Cortland, Paulareds and Liberties are all exploding with amazing, fragrant flowers and the bees are loving it!
We are open all day, throughout the weekend and into next week.
There is no charge to the public but professional photographers must message us for directions and payment.

It was a cool day but the sun finally came out and the forecast is looking better. Had a dozen visitors and 4 photographers show up, so thats a start. The low temperatures have slowed the blossoms but they are well under way now and tomorrow will be a great day to visit us.
The Williams Pride, Gravensteins and Paulareds are open now but there are still many more that will open this week, so next weekend, they should still be showing off.
The public is welcome to visit for free and dogs are also permitted(with owner etiquette) but please avoid interrupting professional photographers.
We're getting ALOT of messages, wondering about the blossoms. Because we are very busy, we won't be able to answer everyone so please check for updates. If there isnt one, assume that its a great time to visit!

First 2 shots were yesterday morning and the last one is the Williams Pride, this morning.
The weather has been all over the map. Its seriously getting harder to predict, every spring.
First, the season looked early. Then the blossoms looked at me and said " you're not my Mom!"
That said, they aren't waiting any longer. Later today, is a good window and there will no doubt, be more windows in our wet looking week. Blossom is several weeks, so there's still lots of time.
Come visit us for a beautiful walk.

Its looking like sun, right through Sunday and then a cloudy Monday, with rain on Tuesday.
That could change while Im posting this.

The blossoms in the Williams Pride have pushed apart, as of today, so they are really close and a few could even open later tomorrow.
The Paulareds (3rd photo) and Red Gravensteins (4th photo), aren't far behind.
If I have to give my opinion, and it appears that I do, I think there will be blossoms on Sunday and Mondays overcast skies, could be a great day for photos, as well.

I've put this off, while I've been watching the weather and blossom development, very closely.
I can say with confidence that the blossom period is right on schedule, if not a day or 2 early. Again, it could slow a bit with rain and cooler temperatures but its on target, for THE LAST WEEK OF MAY AND THE FIRST WEEK OF JUNE.
We are looking forward to all the visits by the public, as well as the professional photographers.
If you are visiting to experience this beautiful phenomenon, it is free of charge but please be cognizant of the many photoshoots that will be taking place, as they are the livelihood of many of our amazing photographers.
For reference, we are at "tight cluster" but I found one cluster in the early Williams Pride, that is at " pink tip".

Another beautiful day on Dutton's orchard path. Have a great weekend, everyone!
