Thanksgiving flowers availability for today! 9-4 We have pumpkin tablecentres available for purchase today along with our mixed seasonal bouquets and lovely everlasting dried bunches. Our crew has been busy creating these beauties for you!
The pumpkins we grow ourselves, harvest clean to perfection thanks to Paul🙏. We use a compostable cup with water(no foam) where the flowers and greens are happy with daily top ups of fresh water.
We will be closed tomorrow. Please keep posted for the days we will be open. You are welcome to call,or message with inquiries or to place an order for pick up here at the farm.

Wednesday is our pick up for September CSA subscription from 12:30-5:30!
BUILD A BOUQUET 💐
You have been asking and it suits to host a session this weekend! The Dahlias are looking good this week as well as Lisianthus, Sunflowers, Amaranth, Hydrangea, and many other fun textures.
WHEN ? Saturday Sept 26 12-4
WHAT ? Select from a seasonal array pre-cut stems to create your own bouquet.
WHERE ? In our flower barn at 450 Rte 25 York
HOW ? Cost is based on the stems you choose. Buckets will display pricing.
We will be there to help you if needed. We suggest bringing a vessel to transport your creation if you are not going directly home.
We accept cash or Etransfer only.
LET US KNOW… If interested in attending please PM let us know so we can be prepared ! Our barn is small so we will limit the numbers to keep everyone comfortable.

Hi PEI ! Thanks to everyone who came out to visit our Blue Wagon 💙and Meadow Barn today 🙏 we were happy to share lots of fresh and dried 💐 florals with y’all

It was wonderful to see the sunshine today after what seemed like weeks of rain, wind, and more rain!

Our Blue Wgaon will open again this coming week Wednesday and again on Saturday…. however, you can purchase our flowers tomorrow at Jewell’s Country Market and for those attending the downtown Charlottetown Sunday Market Lind Schoenfeldt will be there with a selection of unusual succulents and cacti as well as our seasonal bouquets! Over the last few weeks Barb has introduced you to us, the crew behind Island Meadow Farm. Now it is our turn to introduce you to our fearless leader!
Barb is well known in the business of flower growers. With 35 plus years as a member of the Canadian Association of cut flower growers, she is respected for her knowledge but also for skillful mentoring future flower growers.
The Jewell family introduced Barb to the business of flowers and she has taken it from there. She continues the tradition with having her grandchildren become integral members of the flower team.
While managing a thriving flower farm Barb has also been a constant presence at Jewell’s Country Market since its inception.
Flower farming is not for the faint of heart
-weather season ending unpredictables can show up at any time, successional planting to insure blooms are ready when needed are only a couple of concerns constantly at the top of mind.
I can speak for the team saying how proud we are of Barb for her success in this business and the person she has become.
And thank you all for following Island Meadow Farm and making us part of your flower experience!

Hi PEI! This summer sure has been different ! The weather has been, and remains a challenge with yesterday’s severe thunderstorm being one of them. Opposite from recent years of dry conditions, we have been challenged with rain, humidity, temperatures from high to low. Through it all, we have been able to fill our orders and keep our farm stand stocked. As with all farming, the weather dictates crop quality.

We are presently drying many stems for the upcoming season. With the high humidity we were forced to closing the Meadow Barn door and install a dehumidifier. So far it seems to be working. When the weather allows we will open the door for browsing our dried offerings!
