Hey Chatham we’ll be open at the farm stand today until 2pm. We’re taking a little time off today for family this afternoon. We have a wide range of fresh produce and preserves available. Come on out to 6904 Grande River Line before 2 today to stock up for the week. Potatoes, onions, carrots, squash, radishes, hakurai turnips, and so much more. Your support means everything to us as a small family farm.

I also want to take a minute to thank our Windsor crowd because you guys came out in full force yesterday! Thank you for supporting us and making the work that goes into putting on a market display worth it.

I hope everyone has a great remainder to their Thanksgiving weekend and we’ll see our members tomorrow but the stand will be closed all week. Lots of new things to watch out for over the next couple of weeks. Let’s finish this season out strong!

We have been sitting on some exciting information for the last little bit but now we are so excited and happy to share!

Support local and let us feed you this fall and winter season. We have lots planned this fall but we’ll see what Mother Nature does as she’s very unpredictable as you can see. Funny memory to look back on but wasn’t funny in the moment. We’ve had four storms like this. All not fun but that’s farming.

A big day today as we’re prepping for another week of fresh produce for our vegetable subscription members. We’re also busy picking and bunching for the farm stand today! We’re fully stocked for today with potatoes, squash, radishes, sweet turnips, buttercrunch lettuce, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, and so much more. We are closed from Monday-Wednesday and won’t be back open at the farm until Thursday. We want to encourage everyone to stop on out to get your weekly vegetable haul in.

On a separate and exciting note we’re having a flash sale for our specialty pumpkin-shaped sourdough loaves. They’re handmade, baked fresh, and add a special element to any Thanksgiving feast. They’re $10 and orders must be in by the end of today for pickup next weekend. Quantity is limited but we’ll try our best to accommodate everyone.

Otherwise everything in the plots is still creeping along. We will have fresh produce for continuing on for a long while still if the weather holds for a little bit longer. We never try to assume with Mother Nature though as she always has other plans apart from whatever we’re doing. Here’s a photo of us on our first year desperately trying to save our little farm stand from a nasty summer storm that had rolled through. Painful in the moment with the hail but funny to look back on.

Also stay tuned for another fall harvest box right around the corner. It’ll be great for soup parties and anyone looking to freeze some vegetables for the winter.

Another great day. A little rain last night means no tractor work but that’s not going to stop us from getting ready for a bumper harvest this weekend. Amanda went out to pick some things for a limited selection at the stand for anyone wanting to come out. We’re still taking orders for our Farmers Choice Produce boxes that will change weekly until the end of the season.

Here you can see a photo of this week’s farmers choice box because just saying it doesn’t capture the scope and weights you’re receiving. All this fresh local produce for $30. You’re getting 2 big bags of Yukon gold potatoes, freshly cut butterhead lettuce. (1 red and 2 green), some of the biggest carrots I’ve ever seen, a few green peppers, a couple squash, broccoli, hakurai salad turnips that are amazing in soups, stir fries, salads, or enjoyed with some dip, radishes, and, freshly cut herbs that will level up your soups and dishes.

As we head into cooler and shorter days we appreciate everyone who chooses us as your source for fresh local ingredients. We love hearing about your meals, your experiences, and how we’ve had an impact on your lives. It inspires us to keep reaching. We still have a few weeks left and crops are looking good. They’re in it for the long haul as crop growth slows to a creep which is good for w**ding at least. We’re just attacking the thistles as we see them but otherwise w**d pressure in the plots is minimal.

A damp morning to start off another day. This is a very important update for everyone who supports us at the farm stand! As we move into fall and start to slow down and head to our off farm jobs we will be closing the stand down from Monday-Thursday and switch to only being open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We want be be sure the stand is at its best while also making sure we have time to care for all of our fall/ winter plantings. We truly hope everyone has a great week and we hope to see you this weekend!
