Cutting up a batch of Bay Soap today. It’s got a new look! I ran out of the usual green clay I use for colour in this soap and remembered someone had given me some pink clay. I decided to try it and I really love the way it turned out! The scent is still the same - bay, lavender and lemongrass. I’ll have the new soaps at market this weekend and in our farm store.

What a day! We dyed with indigo! We foraged for birch leaves (bright yellow), bedstraw (orange) and comfrey (soft yellow) and made dye over the fire. The results were so exciting. We even had 10 week old Paddy the puppy entertaining us the whole day. Thanks Shannon for bringing him to class!
If you want to learn with us we still have four months left. No experience necessary.

It’s our first day back at market in Wellington this season! We’re happy to be here by the water and the sun is shining!

We’re getting ready to open the shop for the season tomorrow! Just planted some pansies in the planters and cut the grass. Come visit and see what we’ve got inside… honey, mead, herbal tea, lotions and potions, beeswax candles, naturally dyed yarn and more!

We also have loads of free plastic plant pots for starting your seedlings in. Come and take as many as you can use.
