The garlic is finally all harvested. Not as much split as I had last year and much nicer looking. Not as large as I was hoping for most of my varieties. Lacking nutrients I guess, but my Persian Star once again did exceptionally well considering the trials it all went through. The only variety to give me mostly large mediums and larges. And it was the last to be harvested in wet soil and didn't do much splitting at all. This one I have grown the longest as it was my first garlic I grew. It is definitely a keeper. I have a variety that has one more chance to pick up their socks so to speak and plump up or ship out. Killarney Red is on the proverbial chopping block. Czech Red has been axed. Will be taking orders very soon.
