We’re often asked why we haul cattle across three provinces in the dead of winter just to spend a week bundled up in a barn - and sometimes we ask ourselves the same question.
For us, the answer is simple: this is about raising kids who understand the value of agriculture and the Speckle Park breed we believe in.
These kids are learning responsibility, teamwork, and what it means to care for livestock — long before sunrise and long after the show ring quiets down.
These are the experiences that build confidence, character, and a lifelong passion for cattle.
Canadian Western Agribition gives them that opportunity. The early mornings, the late nights, the memories made in the barn aisleway, and the pride of doing the work.
And one day, we hope they’ll make this same trip on their own, hauling cattle under their own prefix.
