Grape Harvest 2022!!! Most years our vineyard becomes bird food, but we never gave up!! Thanks to this long, hot summer the fruit looks amazing and yields are high! Planning on a sparking Chardonnay (or as the French say ‘Blanc des Blancs’ - so romantic!!) with . Many thanks to awesome neighbors who helped!! So, here’s to not giving up, and the 2022 vintage!!

Lavender Vanilla Cupcakes🧁We decided to make these with our favourite vanilla cupcake recipe substituting the plain sugar with our Lavender Sugar. Wow, so good!

A perfect cocktail for our Mothers in the UK today💜

Lavender French 75

1.5 oz Hendrick’s Gin
3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 oz lavender syrup
2-3 oz sparkling wine
Lemon peel

Combine gin, fresh lemon juice and lavender syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a coupe or champagne flute. Top with sparkling wine.
Garnish with lemon peel

Enjoy!

With spring around the corner, you might be wondering how to make Lavender Syrup for those cocktails and lattes you see everywhere. Here you go!

Lavender Syrup

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 tbsps dried lavender flowers

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat and allow to steep and cool for 30 minutes. Pour syrup into a glass jar through a mess strainer to remove flowers. Let cool. Keep stored in cool place for two weeks.
