My chip journey!
I fell in love wit h these chips because a fellow vendor made them. They were addictive, lower in calories (only 150 calories for 19 chips)and so good! Sadly this vendor could not continue making them anymore and I was lucky and so grateful Donna Maillet-Doucette took her own time to teach me everything she knows about the chip business! I am using the same recipes and productions methods to make these the best quality!
WHAT ARE THESE CHIPS? These chips originated in Mexico by the name of Duros and they are sold by street vendors. Originally they were typically only made from wheat, but a Canadian company created a version with corn, wheat and potato! My supplier is located in Saskatchewan and they create the products I cook with.
GLUTEN FRIENDLY I offer wheat and corn versions of these chips, however, the corn versions are gluten-free but they are cooked in the same oil as the wheat chips are and they are not prepared in a gluten certified and gluten-free kitchen. They are not truly gluten-free so if you have severe allergies these chips may not be safe for you.
