Hillside Dreams Destined *P continues to prove why she is a true cornerstone of our herd.

Her 2024 lactation placed her among the elite in Canada—ranking #3 for production, with 1857kg, and #4 for fat, with 63Kg! These outstanding results are not just numbers; they reflect the consistency, strength, and genetic power she brings to our program year after year.

What makes Destined truly special is her ability to pass these traits on. Her daughters Shadow Vale Deorum Denae and Shadow Vale Segway Dejanelle are already carrying forward her hallmark production, ensuring her influence will be felt for generations to come.

We are also excited to have retained her impressive son by Willow Lane Celestino this year, a buck that represents the next step in building on her exceptional legacy.

A special congratulations to Andries Boersma as well, who has her 2025 son working successfully in his large dairy operation—further proof that Destined’s impact extends far beyond our own herd.

We are always looking towards the future with our Alpines. We strive to be progressive in our breeding program, as we work towards consistently breeding the “modern Alpine”.

These four young does are a snap shot of the direction that we are headed at Shadow Vale. Breeding for dairy strength that equates to productive longevity, size, and an overall balanced, stylish animal .

Another month, another test!

October saw our eighth test of the year. With the girls still going strong as they reach the final months of their lactation, they have a rolling herd average of 1308kg 48f 41p, and a daily herd average test of 7.7kg 4.8%f 3.9%f.
