Hello internet world. Michelle here! I’m looking for some help in the wine shop this summer for mid July to end of August 3-4 days a week. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for sure. I’m in the wine shop today from 9:30-2:00 for anyone looking to drop by and grab some of Connor’s jam for stocking stuffers, or wine to have over the holidays, or balsamic vinegar to amp your gravy “up to eleven”. Yes, that is a Spinal Tap reference thank you very much. Charm says Merry Christmas, but don’t touch me because I will be a jerk if you do. They’re Mom’s antlers, not angel wings as implied. Also, I’m at home sleeping in a basket of laundry just out of the dryer, so it’s fine.

Hello everyone! Michelle here. Our apologies for being rather quiet these last few months. Some of you are aware that things have been shifting here at Venturi-Schulze. We have decided not to renew our wine licence next year. This is not a decision we came to easily and it breaks my heart a little bit, but it is the right decision for the family. This means we have the ability to sell wine until March 31, 2026.

We ARE putting all of our energy into the vinegary and will have the new Legacy release available soon, along with the much coveted Maple Balsamic. Woo hoo! 😊 I will post when we have these live on the website.

Please be patient with me, as there are some very personal family health matters that have contributed to making this decision. I’m behind on answering emails and phone calls etc., and will be very tied up over the next week addressing things that need handling.

I would ask that people refrain from using Marilyn’s cell number if you’ve used it in the past. It would be best to email us using the addresses you see on our website. I will monitor them, but as I mentioned above, it may take me some time to respond. Rest assured, the three of us are still here, but we are now needing to pivot in a different direction.

Thank you all again for your support over the decades and for your continued support into the future.

Sorry for the silence lately. Will address that in the near future. In the mean time, I’m around this week, including Saturday, if you’re looking for the perfect wine to go with your Thanks Giving shark cootie board. Or your homemade pumpkin pie. Or your store bought baby food purée pie. Whatever you so choose. The Gran Solera is the darker, broodier older sibling of the Brandenburg that was hiding in a closet for years. It’s a non vintage blend from about 1991-2012. Same rules apply to the B3. Refrigerate after opening, and you have 3 months to work at it if you have no friends, or a single night if you be the social type. Gotta get it in person right now seeing as how Canada Post isn’t moving stuff at the moment.
