With a focus on good storytelling and sustainability, Cardboard Reality creates animated films and digital content. Our farm utilizes no-till no-pesticide permaculture gardening techniques to grow flowers, herbs & fruits that taste delicious, and feed the soil. Owned and operated by first

Kiska the orca spent over 40 years in captivity at Marineland in Niagara Falls. She died in 2023 after spending 14 years in complete isolation. Since 2020 over 25 whales and dolphins have died at Marineland. 35 beluga whales still remain. Marineland is opening for the 2024 season on June 28th. The whales deserve better.

We are in preproduction on an animated documentary about directed by supported by the .council. While it was too late for Kiska, our aim is to end cetacean captivity by telling her story. We can’t forget that there are still whales living in southern Ontario. Follow along for more about our project. It’s time to .

A perfect June bouquet in the evening light. Peonies, Bearded Iris, Alliums and wildflowers. Isn't this thrifted pink vase sweet? It looks petite but these are giant flowers!

If you can believe it this was made from the leftover bucket of stems that came home from the market.

It was an absolutely beautiful day at the on Saturday during 's Pride festivities 🏳️‍🌈 with peonies, rhubarb and SO MUCH ART! In addition to cyanotype and indigo textiles from the studio we also brought some gorgeous original paintings by 🦊✨ All these new items, handmade on our farm, will be available soon on our website. Some close ups from our table of 💜purple week💜 the time of year when the alliums are out, the tulips are finished and peonies are just starting! Thanks to all who came out and braved the rain this week 🌧️ we loved seeing you, but it sure felt good to get home and put on some warm socks! Let's do it all again next week!

The grey lady in the front of the crowd is named Totoro, she's one of the original members of our flock and she's now 7 years old! We love Totoro & all her friends too.
