I keep having this discussion with people - here's a great and factual article about native bee and honey bee competition. (spoiler alert: it's less of a competition than you think.)

The accusations you might have heard about nonnative honey bees aren’t backed up by evidence. In fact, there are plenty of ways bees make the world a better place.

This is what a bumblebee nest looks like. So cool.
They can be relocated if you can access the nest (they are often under stairs etc where you can't get to them) but I have found they often don't survive the relocation so it's best to leave them in place if you can until winter when they die off naturally anyway.
