🐣🐥HATCHING BABY CHICK🐥🐣

Today I woke up to 2 chicks and 3 eggs with little peep holes! I was so excited as I thought tomorrow they were going to hatch. Check out this video of one of my silver deathlayers hatching into the world🥹🩷 peed the umbilical cord at the end! Life is so beautiful🐣

Did you know that baby chicks are born with a small nub on the tip of their beaks known as an “egg tooth”?

It is comprised of keratin, the same material that constitutes human fingernails and hair, as well as the remainder of the chick's beak and claws. This feature is utilized to pip a breathing hole and subsequently zip the eggshell open. Development of the egg tooth occurs on the seventh day of incubation and typically falls off between one to four days after hatching.

4/5 silver death layers have hatched today.. just waiting on the last cutie to make their way to earth side😍 we have 2 completely separate lines hatching so we’re using hatching bags to keep them separate so we can tag them appropriately. No inbreeding with our babies🙅🏼‍♀️
