Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone and a massive thank you to all of you who placed bids in the Kids' Time Out Play Program Diamonds and Studs Gala Virtual Auction. It warmed my heart to see the participation from our community. A huuuge thank you to the highest bidders for the bread and the sour donuts. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed making them for you.

Hey everyone! Long time no post so I thought I’d do an update. I’m still here baking only very casually because I seem to have stumbled upon a daytime job for the next 5 months. Crazy! I’ll still pop up every now and then sharing the sourdough love....I promise! Like this week....I will have some sourdough items in the Diamonds and Studs Gala online auction. It runs from Feb 10-12 so this week! I’m donating 6 browned butter glazed Sourdonuts and 3 loaves of sourdough bread to this wonderful cause. Kids' Time Out Play Program is very near and dear to my heart and this auction is to raise funds to keep this amazing not for profit preschool (that’s been in our community over 38 years) running

Yesterday, I had the extreme honour of making some browned butter sourdoughnuts for some amazing men and women that will not be heading home to their families this year. I really hope they will put a bit of a smile on your face and thank you for all that you do. ❤️🎅🧑‍🎄

I had the privilege of baking some sourdonuts for a very intimate, socially distanced wedding this weekend. Each pair of donuts packaged separately for delivery, because of covid. I love this idea 🙂 I made seasonal flavours of browned butter glazed, chocolate peppermint frosting filled and gingerbread frosting filled. So far it sounds like browned butter glazed is the favourite (it definitely is mine!)

I just love all the creative solutions that make this odd time a little less odd ❤️ If you’re in need of some socially distanced party favours, send me a message and I’ll work with you to make it happen 🙂

So we had a pretty important birthday to celebrate last week (My Mom ❤️❤️) and I surprised her with a cake. Of course I had to add sourdough to the cake (as I’m slightly obsessed). Here it is. A sourdough chocolate cake! And it was delicious. Moist and slightly tangy from the sourdough starter. Huge hit with the adults and kids alike! Now I’m going to make the same cake for my son’s birthday this weekend. Today is the last day that I have a 4 year old 😢😢 Although he told me he’ll always be my baby ❤️❤️ I hope he remembers that in his teens.

PS I love making cakes but I just do it for fun....so please ignore the flaws ☺️

My word, these little sourdough boules (soup bowls, baby sourdough or individual loaves if you choose) are rocking my world today. There’s a regular size one in the back for reference. It’s the small things that make me happy these days it seems (literally and figuratively) ;)

As an aside, the Candle is from and it smells soooo good! ❤️❤️

Chilly winter days call for sourdough bread bowls with some homemade soup 🙌🏻 These were sooooo good. It was a busy day so we grabbed a creamy mushroom barley soup package from added a few fresh ingredients and voila! A delicious and yummy meal to warm the tummy!

First of all, a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the artisan market last weekend. It was so amazing to see so many people shopping local and so great to see everyone masked up and social distancing! You guys guys made it so I was SOLD OUT in an hour and I thank you so much! Also a big thank you to Heather at for getting all of the artisans together and making this market come alive ❤️ A personal thank you to Janice at for extending the invitation to include Bake At The Bake ☺️❤️

I’m going to change things up a bit for the next few weeks. I have a little boy that’s a little under the weather (covid negative 🙌🏻), my better half got called back to work and I have a few pretty important family birthdays in the next few weeks to prepare for. Sooooo....I’m not going to do a major weekly bake like I usually do. I’m hoping to start up again closer to the end of the month. That being said....I might offer a few pop up loaves and goodies for sale here and there (so watch and follow my page!) over the next few weeks. And if you’re in dire need of bread (I get it....it happens😉) send me a message....I’ll see what I can do.
