We have sold!
Feels bittersweet, to be very honest this was the most stressful sale we’ve ever done and I’m glad it’s over!
This little farm was such a gift to us. We came during the pandemic, having worked on the frontlines, I was mentally tired and a bit broken. We saw an opportunity to start something we had only dreamt about. When we came to look at this beautiful home and farm, it was February and the snow was knee deep, but that didn’t stop my daughter and I from climbing to the top of the hill to have a look! That hill has become my sanctuary, a place I go for some peace! Even with all that snow we could envision the lavender field, our grandson running through the tall grass, our dogs living their best lives…it was heaven! The lovely couple who built this home and the two out-buildings, built them to last, and last they have. We still chat with them and shared the pictures of what we’ve done here, much to their approval (except maybe the black paint ) It wasn’t all easy, we worked hard to make it what it is today, but each plant planted, each stone (or boulder) moved, each structure built, each failure taught us, helped us grow and showed us that we can do this! Our next chapter begins and so does the family that have purchased this little farm, it is their dream now! I hope and wish for them all the happiness we have felt living here, that they will feel the support of this little community of lavender lovers and be successful in all that they do!
Thank you to everyone who supported us, either through visiting our farm, helping us plant or w**d, cheering us on, buying our products…. We won’t forget all the good memories we’ve made here on this little farm! 💜

If you have a heart for animals, you’ll love this family! They do such hard work, but they do it with all their hearts!!! I’m sure you can imagine how much it takes emotionally, physically and monetarily! This Sanctuary relies on donations to do all that they do to care for the animals that come to their forever home! If you have it in your hearts to make a donation, even a small donation can make the difference, let’s help this Sanctuary keep doing the work they do to give these animals their last hope, to feel love, to know they’re safe!

“Fill your boots!”
When we bought this farm 5 years ago, we asked the local district municipality what the rules were in terms of chickens and such, he replied, fill your boots!
We dreamt of our very own lavender farm, with a few chickens a dog or two, and our grandson running around freely! In so many ways, our dreams came true!
We were so fortunate to purchase this property, with its beautiful home, barn and shop, from the original owners, who also loved and cared for this little slice of heaven and were able to take it to another level, a lavender level!
We tilled, layed down w**d barrier, drip lines, built an arbour, moved boulders and planted 1200 lavender plants! We lost 500 our first winter and decided to pivot a section of our field for cut flowers! We also built a beautiful greenhouse that has housed thousands of seedlings! We have met so many lovely people at our Upicks and workshops, and made some truly close friendships along the way! Our grandson has run the hills, trained the chickens, built a few forts and had epic sledding races down our hill! This has brought us the most joy as grandparents!
All that said, life brings change, our kids have moved on to start their beautiful dream and well, we aren’t getting any younger! We decided that now is the time, even though it feels hard to let go, time to sell the farm.
So, if you know someone who would love to own a little slice of heaven here in the Okanagan, an opportunity to “fill your boots” then send them our way!

I had no idea when I visited a lavender farm back in 2016, that I would have my very own lavender farm years later! It took a lot to get here, but one of those things was courage, courage to take the step to follow a dream! We worked so hard to make this dream reality and I have to shout out to my hubby, for that! He has literally built this dream for me and I am forever grateful! I know that our next adventure is going to be something special!

2025 on the farm!

Thank you to everyone who visited our farm this year, to those who supported us by purchasing our products or helping us w**d, to the friendships that have deepened this year and have carried us through, we appreciate each one more than you know! 2025 was both hard and a year that made me proud, so thank you for that! 2026 will be bringing some very big changes for our family, here’s hoping that this next chapter is as meaningful and wonderful as the chapter we named, Sunrise Lavender Farm! 💜

This Season has looked a little different for us here on the farm and the New Year is going to bring even bigger changes for us! I know this time of year can be very hard for some, just know my heart is with you. May we find peace, rest, love and a child like joy that makes us forget about those things that hard.
