Today, June 3, 2026 marks our earliest EVER harvest of broccoli. We planted these in the greenhouse early March, transplanted into the field early April and harvested TODAY!

We have a limited amount and it’ll only be available at our farm store in Lavington (Open Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm) and at the tomorrow, Thursday at Kal Tire Place from 8am-1pm

This is Wally. He’s taken to his post as Farm Greeter with enthusiasm, and loves chin scratches. Often seen lounging in the planters, climbing posts, pouncing on grasshoppers, and meow-ing from the pergola above the door.

🫜Answering your Radish Questions!🫜

1. Are those apples? 🫜🍎
… no, they really are radishes! They’re just BIG, and crunchy and delicious.
**no joke, this is the number one question/remark we get at the farmers market about our radishes!

2. Are they hollow?🫜
… we always check to see if our radishes are becoming pithy or hollow in the middle, and you can be rest assured that when you bite into one of these, it’ll be solid all the way through. We love radishes, so we are always doing extra quality control 😉🤤

3. Are they spicy?🫜
… well, in my opinion, no… but they are a radish, which typically has at least a little bit of a bite. For the most part, we will tell you that the larger the radish is, the milder they are, and the smaller ones are spicier, which is perfect, because then there’s something for everyone!

4. Where can I get Zelaney Farms Radishes? 🫜

👨🏻‍🌾👩🏽‍🌾🚜 For us, this is BIG NEWS!! We have expanded our farm by an additional THREE ACRES this season! Get ready for more local food, grown right here in Lavington at Zelaney Farms.

‼️What a way to kick off our 40th growing season‼️

Over the next few weeks we will be plowing, tilling, soil testing, composting, amending and planting this land!

I promise I’ll TRY to remember to record some of it… honestly the days are so busy, it’s hard to make time for recording… thanks for following along on our very inconsistent social media feeds… just out here, you know… farming! 👩🏽‍🌾👨🏻‍🌾🚜
