Calling makers, artisans and small businesses: this is the last call for vendors at our Outdoor Christmas Market.

Just a few spots are left on both weekends, Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, and November 14 and 15. Some categories are already full, so if you have been thinking about it, now is the time.

Picture the barn lit up for the season, a fire going out front and the whole farm out to shop local. Apply through the vendor form on our website.

Dress up the dog. We will bring the camera.

Saturday is Pets and Pints at Quayle's, part of the Fall Festival, and the main event is the Dog Fashion Show. Sign up in the taproom to enter, and win in three categories:

🐾 2pm | Best Dressed
🐾 2:30pm | Funniest Outfit
🐾 3pm | Best Pet Look-alike (owner and dog duo)

We will have a photographer on site from 2pm to 4pm, Mracco Photography, so you can have your photo taken with your best four-legged friend.

We had our hearts set on running trivia outside this week, but tonight's forecast has other ideas. So we're bringing it inside. Blame the weather gods.

Free to play, first come, first seated

Seating inside is a little tighter, so to fit in as many teams as we can, pairs may be seated together at the same table. Come a little early, grab a seat and something from the kitchen, and get to know the team across from you. Some of the best rivalries start that way.

A quiz on Thursday, pets on Saturday, sack races on Sunday. Music every night in between.

Adam Crockatt brings Big Dumb Face Trivia back to the farm on Thursday, 6:15pm to 8pm. It is free and it is first come, first seated, so arrive early, get a smash burger, and settle in. When we are seating inside, tables may be shared, which is usually how the good rivalries start.

Saturday afternoon is Pets and Pints, 2pm to 4pm: the Dog Fashion Show, with Best Dressed, Funniest Outfit and Best Pet Look-alike, and a photographer on site for a photo with your pet.

Sunday is the Oktoberfest games, from 1pm: grain sack races, the keg toss, the stein holding contest and the keg rolling race.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Quayle's.

We are closed today. After a harvest and a long festival weekend, our team has earned a day at their own tables, with their own families and friends.

Thank you for spending part of your weekend with us. We are back open Thursday at 12pm, and the Fall Festival runs right through to the end of the month.

On Wednesday, October 7, we were proud to present a cheque for $2,179.50 to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Foundation, raised through sales of this year's Brian's Choice.

Each year we brew a new style of Brian's Choice in memory of Brian. Our instructions to the brew team are simple: use hops grown here on our farm, and create a b**r Brian would have enjoyed.

For 2026 that was a Manx Pilsner with bright, herbal and tropical flavours, brewed as a small batch, on tap and in just under 1,000 cans. With every pint and can sold, a portion of the proceeds was set aside for the Foundation and the important work it does to help keep our community healthy.

Thank you to everyone who raised a glass of Brian's Choice this year. You helped us honour Brian's memory while giving back to a cause that means so much to our community.

Two of our b**rs came home from Calgary with medals.

The 2026 Canada B**r Cup winners were announced on Thursday night, and Quayle's was called twice:

🥈 Silver, American Amber: Simcoe Sundown
🥉 Bronze, Czech Pilsner: Through Elaborate Process

That is two years in a row on the podium for Through Elaborate Process, which also medalled last year. Simcoe Sundown has been brewed again and will be pouring at the end of the month, in time for Lightfoot Days.

Hats off to our brew team. Farm fresh, and now with the hardware to prove it.

Sunday is the easy one.

Come out for lunch, then let two horses take you round the farm at the speed they feel like going. The rides are free, 1pm to 4pm, and they are the slowest thing you will do all weekend, which is the point.

Burke Erwin plays from 4pm, so there is no reason to hurry off. Grab some cans to go on your way out, because we are closed Thanksgiving Monday.
