Looking for a fun and delicious way to experience Filipino cuisine? Gather your friends and family and try the Boodle Fight at La Isla Manila in downtown Barrie.

A Boodle Fight is a traditional Filipino communal feast where a variety of dishes are served on banana leaves and shared by everyone at the table. Think grilled meats, seafood, rice, vegetables, and all the bold, vibrant flavours Filipino food is known for.

We also had the Canadian Supreme Spring rolls and the Original Spring rolls and washed it down with their coffee jelly drink. All delicious!

And don’t skip on the karaoke…it’s so fun!

Whether you’re new to Filipino cuisine or already a fan, the Boodle Fight a fun, interactive way to sample a little bit of everything while creating memories around the table.

Craving Thai food? A visit to .thai never disappoints.

This time we ordered two of our favourites: the Pad See Ew with beef and the Cashew Shrimp. The Pad See Ew featured perfectly chewy rice noodles tossed in a rich, savoury sauce with tender beef and crisp vegetables. The Cashew Shrimp was packed with flavour, combining juicy shrimp, crunchy cashews, and fresh vegetables in a delicious sweet-and-savoury sauce.

Generous portions, authentic flavours, and friendly service keep us coming back. If you’re looking for an authentic Thai meal in Barrie, this spot is always a solid choice.

Weekend mornings are better on the water at at Lefroy Harbour in Innisfil.

Nothing better than starting with a mimosa on their spacious patio by the lake, followed by coffee and breakfast. From breakfast sandwiches and avo toast to French toast, to classic breakfasts and more, there’s something for every kind of mood.

Weekend breakfast is available Saturdays and Sundays from 8am–12pm and honestly… it’s worth waking up for this summer!

A beautiful new spot to add to your Collingwood list.

blends modern elegance with thoughtful Canadian-inspired cuisine, creating a dining experience that feels refined, creative, and welcoming all at once. Every plate showcases impressive attention to detail and bold flavour combinations.

Created by Chef Jeremy Austin and his wife Cassie, also known for the Michelin starred “The Pine” in Creemore, L O R E brings their signature craftsmanship and elevated approach to the heart of downtown Collingwood.

Inspired by Canada’s natural landscapes and diverse culinary influences, the menu highlights beautifully prepared seafood, smoky comforting flavours, and inventive dishes that feel both familiar and refreshingly original. Thoughtfully curated cocktails and a stunning space complete the experience.

Guests can choose between a $125 12-course tasting menu experience or ordering à la carte, making it easy to enjoy L O R E however you’d like.

Perfect for a date night, girls’ night, or a relaxed evening sharing memorable food and great conversation.

Definitely one to add to your must-visit list this season.

Tried and loved how flavourful and satisfying everything was while still being completely plant-based. The portions are generous, the ingredients feel fresh, and every dish had so much care put into it.

We tried:
• Love Latte
• Blueberry Iced Tea
• Mediterranean Bowl
• Black Bean Burger with sweet potato waffle fries
• Rocky Road Brownie
• Avocado Mousse Cake

One thing I really appreciate is how they also support other local vendors through the products and ingredients they use. Always nice to see businesses lifting up other local businesses while creating such a welcoming space.

Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for vegan food that’s full of flavour.
