Good morning to everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful start to April 2026. Spring has come to our farm and it is so lovely to see the plants warm up for the season!

I have decided to take the 2026 year off from farming. I will miss all of you so much! Our kids are at a great stage in their lives right now and I want to spend the season with them enjoying this fleeting moment.

I hope everyone has the very best year yet! Thank you so much for including me and my flowers in your lives these past few years. I still love flowers (and am continuing to care for and grow all of the flowers on our farm!), so I hope to see you again out there soon.

We will have flower bouquets this Saturday! I have sorted out the beginning of the school year things that I have to do each year for our kids, and I will be able to harvest and arrange flowers this Saturday. Update on our home search: We have ultimately decided to not put in an offer on the home we were looking at in East Courtenay. It was going to a multiple offers situation and we thought long and hard and decided that we should really wait it out for a large home to come available in Comox. So, if you happen to have a large Comox home near Highland and are thinking about selling, we would love to hear from you! I am still deciding if I will reopen for flowers. I will take a couple of days off to recover from the whirlwind of these last two weeks and then keep you updated about September. Thank you so much to everyone for all of the support and kind messages of encouragement :) It has meant the world to me as we navigate this stressful decision.

I am overwhelmed as I write this post. We are thinking about selling our farm to move into town. We have been overjoyed to call Ravenhall Farm our home and our family has enjoyed great happiness here. The purchase of our new home is not final yet (and likely won't be for a few months), but I think I have to step back from flowers this fall in order to focus on getting (and keeping!) our home ready for viewings. To all of my wonderful customers- thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me (as a brand new farmer) an opportunity to learn and explore the beauty of flowers. Getting to know you has been the absolute best part of my job. Thank you so much for trusting me with your weddings, your birthdays, and your celebrations of life. It has been a great honor to be a part of your landmark moments, and also to be part of celebrating everyday through the joy that flowers bring.

Our home will probably go up for sale mid-next week (if everything goes to plan). I have attached a few photos in case you happen to know someone who is looking for a beautiful home on 2.5 acres closet to town and the beach. The home will be listed with the Jane Denham team.

Today we have eucalyptus from our farm! Eucalyptus takes a long time to grow, but it is one of the most stunning additions to a bouquet. I loved experimenting with all of the new colour combinations to take advantage of its silvery beauty.

I thought you might want to see the event flowers heading out today! The couple asked for large mason jar arrangements that they could tie onto their fence for their backyard wedding. Dahlias are front and centre in the arrangements, with cosmos, alstroemerias, hydrangeas and sedums adding gorgeous colours and textures. The bridal bouquet has my very first home grown eucalyptus!

There are tons of flowers out at the farm stand now! Summer is in full swing, and I couldn’t be happier to have this beautiful weather (though I wouldn’t mind some rain). Have a wonderful weekend!
