Because we don't use any harmful chemicals to keep pests away in our greenhouse be sure to give your lettuce a light wash, just the same as any produce that you would buy at the grocery store. It's just good practice!

We've come a long way from the early days when we started growing a few trays of microgreens in the kitchen back in 2020 to operating a fully functioning commercial size greenhouse today.

Of course we're still growing our delicious microgreens but we've added a few others as well; we have four different varieties of lettuce including our Boston Butterhead both green and red, loose leaf, and romaine. And with all the room that have for growing we've also added tomato, cucumber, and pepper.

When we started our journey we had aspirations of growing as much food as possible to serve as many as possible at the lowest cost possible; when we reflect on how far we've come since we started we can honestly say we're well on our way meeting and exceeding our goals. Of course none of this wouldn't be possible without the support of our community, THANK YOU to all of you for your support!

BTW, our cucumber plants are growing better than we expected, we have some cucumbers already, albeit a little past the ripe stage but at least we're on the right track. :)

This is an exciting week for us at Rockland Microgreens... we have a new fresh and simple look to our menu and our long-awaited lettuce program is open!!! YAY! 🎉

We've made a few changes to our menu to better help with our selections of FRESH produce and available sizes but no changes to our pricing... which has been the same since 2020. We no longer have 1oz microgreens available, just in packages of 2oz and we no longer offer the mega size (16 oz) Bountiful Salad, just the 6oz size at the same great value.

Our lettuce program is a go for 2026 and we're excited to be offering the great selections of lettuce that we've been growing and you guys will NOT be disappointed. We've been given out samples of lettuce for a couple of weeks and the feedback is positive, people absolutely love the freshness and color and texture.

We have our main staple Romaine available, this is such a fantastic lettuce and crisp with a beautiful deep green color. If you love Cesar salad or Garden salad this is the lettuce you need. Huge firm leaves with that classic crispy crunch.

We also have our Boston Butterhead lettuce in both traditional green and vibrate deep rouge. These are great for sandwiches and our course salads and can't forget those delicious tacos.

We also are offering a fourth lettuce; it's our green leafy lettuce. The leaves on this lettuce are huge and tasty with a beautiful deep green color. Perfect for tacos, sandwiches, salads and wraps.
