Cookshire Fair is just around the corner and our family is involved in many ways! Come see the kids show their lambs Friday August 21st at 11am or pop over to the QFA booth for a burger and say hi!

What a whirlwind of a week!
First, I’d like to thank everyone who makes the Canada sheep classic possible. This kind of event requires so many volunteers, many behind the scenes, and none of it would be possible without your hard work. Second, I’d like to thank the bidders and the buyers. Congratulations on your purchases and we hope they do great for you in your programs. Third, I have to thank everyone we interacted with over the event. Thank you for your kindness, words of encouragement, and your questions! It was truly exciting to represent the Katahdin breed on a national scene!
Cheers to new friends!
I wish we could have taken more time after the sale to say our goodbyes, but we had a ferry to catch; a little vacation time after the hard work! We also may have had a few tears in our eyes. We’ve grown to love our sheep very much and although excited for their future, we’re sad to see them go.

Show day is over. It went smooth and the sheep walked well. Being the only Katahdins, they both got default champion for their class. The judge did comment on their nice length!
It was so much fun to represent this breed in the show ring!
Tune in for the sale tomorrow!

Yesterday was the Youth Show. The day started off with a showmanship clinic for the kids. They got some one on one tips and were able to practice in the ring with their lamb.
Abby placed mid pack and picked up some pointers to use at her next show!
We headed to the beach to cool down after the show! 🏖️ ⛵️ 🦀

Hier, c'était le concours des jeunes. La journée a commencé par une clinique de showmanship pour les jeunes. Ils ont reçu des conseils individuels et ont pu s'entraîner dans le ring avec leur agneau.
Abby a placé au milieu et a appris quelques trucs à utiliser lors de son prochain show!
Nous nous sommes dirigés vers la plage pour nous rafraîchir après!
