PSA: please be careful when passing tractors and farm machinery.

Yesterday I (Claire) was helping out the boys who were raking and baling hay. I drove the tractor and rake from one field to the next which required pulling out onto the highway (Rte 108) and about 500m later turning left into the next field.

As I started turning left a car passed me on the inside. If I had been moving any faster they would have driven right into me.

Please please please be cautious when passing. It was a terrifying moment that I am so grateful did not end up in worst case scenario. 🙏

What a great day for 4H at Expo Cookshire Fair. So proud of everyone for representing Team Woodsview.
Kaylee - first time ever showing and she did such a great job!
Austin - your showing skills keep improving each day. So proud of your hard work. 3rd in showmanship today.
Colton and Madison - first time showing at a fair. You both looked great in the ring!
Ellie - you showed great poise and grace showing Olaf. 2nd place in conformation.
Neil - 1st in conformation and 4th in showmanship (in a large class). Way to go!

Dennis and Claire even took a turn in the ring in the 4H alumni show.

These kids have been working so hard getting their heifers ready for show day. It's an honour to have them represent our farm.

Congratulations!

Yesterday we welcomed 13 4-H members from Northern Alberta for a farm tour. Neil and Austin just returned from 5 days in the Peace River region of AB (Hines Creek) as part of a 4-H exchange.

The boys were excited to share our farm with their new friends and show the kids what dairy farming in Quebec is all about.
