Clyde River Orchard, will open on Saturday 20 December for one last on farm apple sale. Have ten pound bags of apples for $10.00/bag.

Varieties are CORTLAND, SPY, GLOSTER, MUTSU and a fantastic all round variety for baking and fresh eating is IDARED.

SPY: A true heirloom variety that will bring back memories of Christmas past. Excellent as a fresh apple, this one really shines when baked in a pie. Usually used as a secret ingredient by great pastry chefs.

Our IDARED long storing Winter apples are ready to pick.

These apples, if picked now, ripen following harvest and present an intensely flavoured apple as Fall transitions to Winter.

Some customers with cold rooms claim these apples retain their flavour and texture until May.

Excellent as a fresh product, they also yield an exquisite base for pies and more exotic apple desserts.
