Courtenay Herefords is a third generation ranch located on Vancouver Island, BC. The focus for our breeding program has remained consistent for the past 50 years—to maintain moderate framed, low birthweight cattle with thickness, milk, fertility and longevity. Our cattle have to work for us and our customers and be efficient doing it. In today’s economy, hard-keeping cattle don’t work and grass-based easy-doing genetics are even more important.
