"Abuelo" is grandfather in Spanish, and for us grandparents are the ones with knowledge, guidance, and roots to our traditions. Living and enjoying the tradiotions of life in Mexico gave us an apreciation for local foods and the care that comes with cooking for family. It is with family honour and pride that we produce our hand made tortillas. When we arrived in Canada and re-located to the Comox

Valley on Vancouver Island B C we realized that our roots and values come with us. We took our family focused love for carafully prepared food and tood ownership of the "Roadrunner Cafe" (now is gone). While developing our menu we started producing our own traditional hand made corn tortillas, and the costomer feedback was overwhelming.
