This is a recent installment of 02B2 aeration tubing at the New Britain Water Reservoir in Connecticut, USA. They use the bubbles for ice melting, oxygenation and reducing total suspended solids. The aeration will also help precipitate iron and manganese and reduce odor such as methane and hydrogen sulfide caused by anaerobic bacteria.
