Garlic, greenhouses and flowers. It has been busy this spring already! We put the greenhouse this month and now we need to build boxes! The garlic is growing tall and the rhubarb has exploded.

If you want to put your name on the list for garlic let us know! We also have a ton of rhubarb if anyone wants some. Apparently it’s the new zucchini. I may leave some on your doorstep and run!

We are gearing up for spring here in the homestead. The garlic is up almost a foot, the raspberries are leafing out and the first signs of my cold hardy plantings are coming up. We have ton of veggie starts growing in the mini greenhouse and we are working hard building our new 13x20 greenhouse. So excited for all the tomatoes and peppers this year. We are going to likely have a lot of starts to sell so send us a message to reserve yours. We will have cherry tomatoes, a few Roma tomatoes, and lots of varieties of hot peppers. Salsa garden anyone?

We are enjoying some spring weather in between the last vestiges of snow. It has been so fun watching all the wildlife, especially the birds come back this spring. The baby goslings have arrived and we see 10 little babies so far at least with in 2 family groups. So cute!

Glamorous life of a homesteader…cleaning out the pond! We always do things the hard way because we don’t have a lot of machinery. But a boat and two rakes are doing a pretty good job. Anyone know of someone with an excavator?

Gardening is starting back up on the Acres. Mowing, weeding, and hardening off plants. I’m excited for the warmer weather to start next week! I’ve made batches of rhubarb jam already. We have oodles of rhubarb, so if anyone wants some come on by!
