African Gem Squash!

4 for $10, collect at 3895 Standard Hill Road, call 250 421 2177 to arrange a time!

To cook, cut in half, scoop seeds and boil until soft - about 20mins/until a fork slips out.

Can prepare and freeze: cook as above, freeze in small containers, and then defrost/reheat in the microwave and add butter and salt and pepper to taste to last you through winter 😊

The garden was surprisingly giving and gave us one more week of flowers before the frost came!

This is officially our last market for the season - just too chilly for us now.

We likely will still have some produce available for a while, so give us a call - gem squash, tomatoes etc.

Getting really close to the end of our season over here - getting ready for fall with potatoes, Borsch, and probably the last of the radishes! It’s starting to get too chilly for these South Africans to be out on a Saturday morning 😉 if you can’t make it to the Farmers Market you can always text Debbie at 250 421 2177!
