For a small town company that has grown throughout the region and with the advent of the web continues to grow in North America… that many years in business says a lot. In a small town a company can’t make it long term on building booms… there just aren’t that many of them. One has to gain the trust of their community through relationships and a body of good work done. Our website, phone directori
es, and about $300 a year in newspaper ads, mostly to make announcements is all the advertising we do. Word of mouth, neighbour to neighbour recommendations have carried us through the toughest financial years and grown us through the good times. It’s been that simple really, care about your clients, care about their water needs, challenges and concerns, give the best possible service, advice, equipment and craftsmanship work a person can do, the rest has taken care of itself. Even though we are called The water Guy, it was really two water guys that started this business each with a company and a focus of their own, one was a well service company with an EcoWater treatment franchise and the other an independent water systems builder. In 2001 the companies were joined and The Water Guy ~ EchoWater & Well Service has been our full name ever since. The treatment franchise was let go in 2001 and in 2002 a close relationship began with a progressive and fast growing company called Waterite Technologies who quickly became one of our main manufactures. With the wide range of products and services offered we have also maintained several long term relations with some of the largest distributors and manufactures in North America since the 1990’s. Today we occupy our forth building and great location which we hope will last us a couple more years, though we don’t mind out growing buildings at all. We work with the most amazing equipment our industry has produced to date, something this industry is doing very well literally tweaking and reinventing itself on a constant basis. Something else that has evolved a lot is our client’s awareness and understanding of water. Back in the day we could spend hours at a client’s home, explaining why they might be interested in an iron filter, a home that had a large orange semi-circle on the side of it from the iron in the water when the lawn sprinkler hit it. Only to return another day to retest, re-explain the workings and benefits of owing such a device. Today clients often come to us with very specific water health and performance needs looking for custom tailored solutions to fit their needs, budgets and maintenance expectations. This is our forte, the years of experience, education, equipment and the application. It’s a good day to be The Water Guy and we are very excited about the future…
