Fitting that the last post was about taking our winter covers off and this one is about fall, only another month until we put the covers back on. What happened to summer? Lots happened. Thanks to the quirky climate we had a huge harvest - double that of '23 - and our plants and bees are all very happy. Follow us on Instagram, Terre Bleu if you want a regular pulse on our business. We haven't spoken about our farm on this page in almost a year. It's time for an update.

As you know, Fennario Meadows is a 100-acre farm that rests on the slopes of the Escarpment between the hamlets of Glen Huron and Dunedin. This is about 8 kms from Creemore in the general direction of Collingwood. It is a very beautiful setting and now that the lavender which we planted in 2021 has started to mature and is beginning to bloom, the experience of walking through the hills and fields is profound.

When will we open? Although we were granted a permit in 2021, we have had to fight to keep it thanks to some estate owners who think we are the next Canada's Wonderland - we are far from anything like that. Click the link in our bio if you want some insight into this ridiculous battle. We are now waiting on the provincial government for the final word to lift the suspension of our permit. That could come any day and you'll be among the first to know if we are open for visits.

Fennario Meadows has been a labour of love. From 4 inches of snow on our first planting day through extended legal battles and long delays, it has been the love of the farm that has kept us going. Someday, you'll fall in love with it too. Stay tuned.

Earth Day brought sun and warm weather as winter relaxed its 6-month grip on the farm. The green shoots and optimism of spring are welcome. Adventure awaits.
