Barheide Quarter Horses

Barheide Quarter Horses We are a family operation that has been living in the Crossfield area, 30 minutes NE of Calgary,for over the past 20 years.

Our goal is to raise quality quarter horses that are able to compete in Reining, Working Cow, Cowboy Challenge, or any other Western Horse event. For us, ability is not the only thing we want from our horses. We want our horses to have the personality that makes them a pleasure to have around! We have found this personality in our stud Colonel Remi and his offspring. We purchased Remi in his 4 yr

old year. Remi has over $10,000 NRHA earnings and 24 AQHA performance points. Remi is nominated Canadian Supreme, and Reining Alberta.

2025 Palomino Roan C**t by Modern Gun out of Strawberry Snow Cone (Electric Snow)!

Very Unique Palomino Roan yearling c**t that will make a great open or non pro prospect. He is very easy to deal with and handle. He definitely has the look that will get you noticed in the show pen and will have the talent to go with it!

The dam has $7,700 in NRHA earnings, she was a bigger stopper so this guy will have a lot of stop in him!!. This is her first foal and we couldn’t be happier with how he turned out!

2 year old Buckskin Gelding by Wimpyneedsacocktail and out of Lisa Oak(Colonel Remi)!

If you are in the market for your next all round prospect this is the guy for you. He has a very smooth W/T/L and is comfortable to ride. He has a good foundation under him and a good start on the Reining maneuvers. He has had plates on for a couple of weeks and is showing good potential.

He would also make a great Cowboy Challenge Horse. His dam is a full sibling to one of the best Cowboy Challenge Horses in Canada. There are also a few other Colonel Remi babies that are excellent Cowboy Challenge Horses!!

Should mature to be around 14.3-15.

“Maisie” is a really nice filly to handle and a nice mover. This filly will be able to go any direction you want to take her.

The Dam’s oldest foal is 2 and is showing a lot of potential as a reiner, so this filly would make a great reining prospect. The dam is also a full sister to one of the best Cowboy Challenge horses in Canada so she would make a great Cowboy Challenge prospect as well.
