Lakeland College came out and interviewed Aydon and I for their Excel Alumni Magazine back in February. We are featured in the 2026 spring addition of the magazine! We talked about meeting in college and where life has taken us since then and how we started building our horse breeding program! Feeling pretty thankful that we got to be apart of this! Here is the link to the magazine if anyone would like to read it!

If you are looking for a stallion to breed to your mare this spring, check Flint out! This stallion is proving his amazing qualities more and more every year! He is a talented and dependable ranch horse no matter the situation you put him in. He goes to work whether it’s pasture/ hand breeding mares, putting in long days on the ranch or going to town to show in a chaotic event like a ranch scramble. He’s got the brains and the braun! Flint has some spots open for some mares this spring! Send us a message to book your spot!

A reminder that this is the only incentive our stallions are paid into currently!

Putting out some feelers if anyone would be interested in this mare before we post her to other sites.

“Alexa” is a 2019 (7 year old) crossbred mare that stands 15.2hh. We picked her up in the fall in a package deal and we were told that her sire was a full thoroughbred and that her dam was crossbred… we are thinking maybe a little Morgan/ quarter horse but are not completely sure.

Aydon has done majority of the riding with her mainly using her to check calves this winter. She is not much of an arena horse right now but she has potential. She knows the basics of body control but needs fine tuning. We used her to chase mares home and she handled that so well, we used her at a gymkhana for fun and surpassed all of our expectations! She has her quirks but has come a long way in the time we have had her. She is more of an anxious type of horse but is pretty confident and brave when riding her out in the pasture. She has been the same horse for us with any kind of time off. No buck, bolt or rear but can get a little hot although that is normally when her anxiety is spiking. She wants to be a pretty level headed horse. Alexa is not for a beginner but a confident intermediate rider could get a long with her. Alexa has a ton of potential waiting to get polished up, so if you are looking for a spring/summer project, take a look at her. We feel Alexa would do great as a trail horse but would also excel in a fun sport type environment also like gymkhanas or some sort of pony club stuff… she is not much of a cowhorse but will do what you are asking of her without a fight. Send a pm to discuss further. Will try to get some videos posted in the comments.

JA Full Of Jazz
Aka Nash
AqHR registered
Sire: JA Jazzed Up Hickory
Dam: Bodi

Nashy-man is the ultimate good boy. And stout! He is fitting into a yearling sized halter already! This is the most Bodi influenced baby, Bodi has produced yet. A Bodi mini me in boy form. Halter breaking him right now really reminds me of halter breaking his momma Bodi 19 years ago! His demeanour and trainability is exactly how Bodi was. Nash is so level headed and chill it’s hard to believe he is only 6.5 months old. He is the “old campaigner” of the weanlings. He (and Netty) keeps the group calm and relaxed. He does not fret or make any noise when standing in the box stall alone, he is just happy to have a his bucket of feed in front of him and his own space. And boy does he LOVE getting brushed. I think he would stand there for as long as you were willing to brush him without any complaints. He is not an in your pocket kind of horse but he does like to spend time with you and to be pampered. I am really enjoying the mind and attitude on this guy! He’s making me reminisce of how his mother, Bodi got me hooked onto starting c**ts from the ground up and all the fun I had making her into the horse she is! Bodi has given us 4 foals and while they all have her quiet and calm demeanour, Nash is the first one to fully take on pretty well all of her traits. He is going to make one heck of a riding horse!

… also, Nash is available… so if you are looking for a quiet, easy going baby, look no further!

Need to send in Navy’s registration… but since we are the ol sorrel ranch around here, all I ever have to worry about when registering is their markings, not their body color! So, would you register Navy as a brown or a bay? Pictures from today and one from when she was 2 months old!

Chino’s belly is starting to get some shape to it! We are a long ways off but still exciting to see!We used her quite a bit this spring on the ranch so she was in good riding shape when we took her to get bred. She is bred to Ima Metallic Gold and dye around May 21st.

NK Chino Jet Hickory 2011 mare by Tejons Blue Hickory and out of NK Elchino Lemhi 001.

How amazing is this!
