Let’s get these 3 kittens named!

We’ve had some super goofy ones from the kids and some nice trio names from other family members. But nothing has stuck yet.

Comment with your ideas!

We’ll pick names and share them on June 1st! (Provided we can all agree lol)

We’re nearing the end of our spring butchering for wholesale beef and pork.

Only a couple dates left to order and get yours!

Purchasing wholesale direct from farm is a great way to get good value for your money. It’s meat from farmers that you know and trust (or you can get to know us with a farm visit!). Your money goes toward a sustainable farm that cares about the livestock, the environment and the community. We strive to spend this money wisely and also keep it in the community to support the local economy.

We understand that a large purchase like wholesale can be tough in these recent times and so we do our best to keep our meat prices affordable while still ensuring good quality products. A couple ways we do this is that we source local for feed and supplies and plan multiple deliveries and errands together in one trip to reduce transport costs.

Contact us for more details or visit our website.

Also, a big thank you to our customers who share awesome feedback and keep ordering year after year!

Our usual batch of weaner pigs got split into 2 groups this year when they came to the farm:

🐷Corral Pigs
🥕Garden Pigs

We put 4 pigs in the garden using our construction turkey panels. The goal is to have them do the rototilling, clean up of the vegetable plants and ideally eat some of the weeds! Inparticular, the thistles!

As there’s no infrastructure there, they had to get fed and watered daily and got a small straw bale to burrow in.

Once the weather forecast looked colder, we decided to “trail” the pigs over to the Corral Pigs where there’s a heated water bowl, wind fences, shelters and big straw piles to be more comfortable for the rest of the winter.

We had discussed catching them, loading in a trailer or making a walkable pen, but in the end decided to bait them with yummy pellets while they were still hungry for breakfast.

We prepared for the worst - started Saturday morning so that we had the whole weekend to move them, if they decided to run away, not follow or stay in their garden home.

But after some brief exploration, the whole adventure took less than 15 minutes!

We shall see now what the spring reveals in the garden and if it’s a bad mess or a good mess.

Gratitude is flowing aplenty this fall while spending time with family, getting winter feed done up and raising some young kiddos on the farm!

Lots to share later but right now we’re collecting the last round of orders for turkeys!

Over half are spoken for so if you’re thinking you might want for Christmas or maybe later for Easter, then message us right away to order!

They’ve been raised on pasture since they were 6 weeks old, free ranging on the grass and eating all our grasshoppers.

You can request the giblets and/or gizzard, and a size range preference or get your turkey ground up (extra fee here).

Happy Thanksgiving to all and thank you to everyone that ordered their turkey already!
