Huge congratulations to our former Young Agrarian Apprentice - Grace Burton!

She knocked it out of the park with her project on comparing tests on water quality and found results that cattle producers can actually use!

Grace presented her poster at the Canadian Beef Industry Conference to many producers, researchers, directors, and industry professionals.

One priority on our family farm is sustainability and creating and supporting opportunities for the farm’s success in the future.

To us this means that we raise our chickens and turkeys outdoors, pastured on grass (after they are feathered and hardy enough for Alberta weather). It builds soil fertility while providing our community with high quality, nutritious food.

It means that we protect and learn about the wildlife and native plants on our land.

It means that we bring the next generation with us and teaching them about farm life, safety and making it fun and engaging.

It means we are constantly checking. Checking herd health, checking grass, checking fences, checking markets, checking hay, checking feed and water, checking financials, checking, checking, checking…. To be aware of what’s good, what needs attention and maintenance and what needs to be changed, all to be able to do it again and again for many years to come.

You have four packaging options to choose from to meet your cooking preferences.

Two dates to choose from - June 25 and August 20, or we can freeze and store until a later date that is convenient for you.

Why our chicken? Pasture raised chicken has excellent flavour, our family and summer students care about animal welfare and ethics, and by raising healthy chickens, we can get bigger birds and more meat to bone ration thus you get more meals per bird.

We’re nearing the end of our spring butchering for wholesale beef and pork.

Only a couple dates left to order and get yours!

Purchasing wholesale direct from farm is a great way to get good value for your money. It’s meat from farmers that you know and trust (or you can get to know us with a farm visit!). Your money goes toward a sustainable farm that cares about the livestock, the environment and the community. We strive to spend this money wisely and also keep it in the community to support the local economy.

We understand that a large purchase like wholesale can be tough in these recent times and so we do our best to keep our meat prices affordable while still ensuring good quality products. A couple ways we do this is that we source local for feed and supplies and plan multiple deliveries and errands together in one trip to reduce transport costs.
