AL (aka Nova Scotia Strong) had the best race he's had in a while on Friday night Feb 13 at Western Fair. Looking more like his old self again. It takes time and a determined and patient village to keep these athletes feeling well enough to compete at their best.
Kudos to team Tyler Moore Racing. It's almost exactly a year since AL had his last bout with illness and many would have just given up on him. I think this year will be a fun year to watch him.

Nova Scotia Strong and trainer/driver Darren Crowe prevailed in a three-way stretch duel for an 11-1 upset as the longest shot on the board in the 2025 meet's final Winners Over Handicap Pace at Truro Raceway on Sunday, Nov. 16.

I knew Al was feeling better when I saw him on Wednesday after being sick with the flu/cold when he was being his saucy self and then getting ready today. Thanks to Team Crowe for all his care.
So much more exciting to win when your expectations are low lol!
Nice to see him feeling good again and just in time for a change.

Al had an exciting race last night in Charlottetown with Mike McGuigan in the bike. Looking more like his races as a 3 year old he was looking about 20 lengths from behind the leaders. Then he unleashed in the last quarter passing them 3 wide like a freight train. Choo Choo!
Starting to think he might like the island life.
Well done team McGuigan and congrats to all the owners.
He is back in on Tuesday night in Charlottetown then hopefully again on the weekend.
