Great post from beekeepers life. If you cannot find your Queen and are seeing unusual laying patterns or multiple eggs in the cells, you could have a laying worker.

🛑 What happens when Worker Bees start laying eggs? (The Laying Worker Dilemma) 🐝🕵️‍♂️
​When a hive goes queenless for too long, some worker bees' ovaries develop, and they start laying eggs. But because they haven't mated, they can only lay unfertilized eggs, which turn into drones (male bees). This can ruin a colony if left unchecked!
​How to Identify:
🔍 Multiple Eggs: Instead of a single centered egg, you'll see multiple scattered eggs stuck to the cell walls.
🔍 Irregular Pattern: A messy, spotty brood pattern with raised, dome-shaped drone caps.
​The Solution:
🛠️ Open Brood Frame: Introduce a frame of open brood (eggs and young larvae) from another hive. The natural pheromones will suppress the workers' ovaries.
👑 Introduce a Mated Queen: Once the colony calms down, safely introduce a new mated queen using a 'Queen Cage' for gradual acceptance.
