My chicken burger game has been LEVELED UP!!

Being at the Tatamagouche Farmers’ Market yesterday was a delightful blend of encouraging conversation, sales to smiling customers new and old and my favorite part..... SHOPPING! 😆

I purchased from 12 different vendors yesterday and last nights supper featured 3 new to me taste sensations!

Around here a couple of my boneless skinless chicken breasts are routinely sliced, coated and deep fried but paired with Kelloway Krafted Carolina Gold BBQ sauce, piled high with Go West Homestead Power Up micro greens thanks to Nourishing Circles Farmstead, all sandwiched within a Doggart Farmstead pretzel bun, and we have a combo I can't wait to eat again.

It is possible to shop local small business for just about every element on your plate so keep it up folks. We notice, every purchase matters.

At the Tatamagouche Farmers’ Market today from 9-1! Come stock up on free range chicken. Holiday season SALE on whole chickens! Whole chickens 15% off now until Christmas. Lots of half chickens also if you prefer to cook for a couple people with minimal leftovers.

This is likely the last day for chicken sausages to be available - chicken Italian and chicken breakfast flavors are all I have left.

I will plan a couple Truro meet up /delivery days if anyone wants to order!

You've probably seen it. But I'm sharing it anyway. Today I'm aching alongside fellow 🍁Canadian farmers.🍁

"There, lying on straw-like grass parched from drought conditions, was a charred but otherwise intact maple leaf."

This is our sobering reality. 💔 Some summers are plagued by drought and fires while others see conditions so wet that no matter how mother nature shakes the dice we seem to be facing crop failures and challenging livestock conditions..... We find ourselves pondering, questioning and truly taking the time to decide, 'is the risk and uncertainty really worth it?'

👩‍🌾 So I hate to say it but don't take small local farms for granted. We might not always be here. Support us with your kind words as well as purchases. I can say from experience that during times I have been ready to scale back to personal use only I've had customers ask me when something would be back in stock or rave about my products and those individual comments have given me motivation to keep going. So it all matters. ❤️

Check out a farmers market this weekend, stop at the roadside stand you drive by, message your friend that never has time to go out cause they're busy watering animals and gardens. And know that we WANT it to be worth it!
