Community, our earth, and how we act within it Earthwise is a not-for-profit, charitable organization.

We are a community resource on ecological gardening, a model of best practice for sustainable horticulture, a public space where the community connects with nature. The Earthwise Society operates the Boundary Bay Earthwise Garden and Demonstration Food Gardens. We put people of all ages in touch with the earth, from grade school children learning about soil, biodiversity, wildlife stewardship and

resource conservation; to adults learning about ecological gardening, composting and growing food. The Earthwise Garden demonstrates that it is possible to have a healthy, sustainable, beautiful landscape without the use of chemicals. The Earthwise Demonstration Food Gardens puts the community in touch with food, where it comes from, how it grows, the ecological costs of getting it to our tables, and the importance of sustainable organic growing practices.

We had a lovely garden buddies meetup today, playing some trivia about Earthwise and other local history, sharing stories, walking the garden, and putting together some beautiful arrangements 💐

Thanks to our garden buddies who contributed some fun prizes and brought in goodies for our gardening/crafting show and tell.

🌱 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Plant Sale this weekend at the Earthwise Garden!

🌸We loved welcoming so many community members to the garden to shop for pollinator-friendly, native, and waterwise plants, connect with our knowledgeable volunteers, chat with Master Gardeners, and kick off the gardening season with us.

A special shoutout to all of our amazing volunteers who helped with setup, sales, and so much more- we couldn’t do it without you! 💚
