Meet some of our busiest little greenhouse workers. 🐝🌱

At Windset Farms, bumblebees play an important role in pollinating our tomato crops. As they move from flower to flower, the natural movement of their bodies helps release pollen and pollinate the flowers, supporting fruit formation.

Our Integrated Pest Management team keeps a close eye on their work by monitoring tomato flowers for the small “bite marks” bumblebees leave behind. The more visible the marks, the better the pollination.

It’s just one of the ways we work with nature and innovative greenhouse practices to grow fresh, high quality tomatoes all year round.
