It’s sweet pea season!
We sow these blooms in the fall and they grow slowly all winter and in May they start blooming in abundance. The scent on these is fantastic! We grow far more varieties than is sensible, but it really so hard to narrow it down.
They take a lot of work to train and prune but in return they give us some nice long stems and they are definitely one of my favourite crops.
Come find us with them at the Trout Lake and Kitsilano farmers markets this weekend. Garden roses, agrostemma, the last of the peonies and plenty more blooms are coming along too.

It’s garden rose season!
We grow several varieties of these wonderfully scented blooms. We moved most of them to a new spot on the farm this winter so we’ll have a limited amount to harvest this year as they settle into their new homes.
It’ll be very worth the wait to have happier rose plants next year!
Find em along with peonies, sweet peas and lots of other blooms this weekend at farmers markets. We’ll be at Trout Lake and Riley Park on Saturday and Kits on Sunday.
And the is now open 6 days a week for the summer season, you can find mixed bouquets, sweet peas and peonies there.

It’s taken 10 years of being in biz for us to get some merch made up but I think it was worth the wait!
We commissioned to put together this wonderful illustration for us, featuring some fave farm flowers as well as some quintessential local elements: an island horizon, marsh cattails, a great blue heron and some barn swallows.
You can hear the swallows chattering in the background here!
It’s all printed locally by and we’re so pleased with the results!
Shirts and totes are listed in the online shop to order for local pick up. We’re so excited to share them!

Some dreamy mixed bouquets this week! Peonies, sweet peas, stock and snapdragons all have lovely scent and there some sweet lacy spirea branches in there too.
Find us at Riley Park and Trout Lake farmers market Saturday or at the on Saturday.
We’re bringing lotsa peonies for the stem bar to make your own bouquets too!

The ranunculus have had their moment! We picked tons of stems from this patch over the last month and they finished earlier than usual because of the warm weather ☀️💐

Thank you for a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! We picked every flower stem we could and hope our blooms brought joy to your day.
The peonies are just starting to kick off, and we are now sold out of our Peony Club CSA. If you’ve signed up, keep an eye on your email over the next couple of days about the start date.
We’re doing a staggered start this year with different locations getting flowers on different dates.
Can’t wait to share these fantastic blooms with you!

We’ve been busy picking all the flowers we could to bring our best local seasonal blooms for Mother’s Day this weekend. Ranunculus, snowball viburnum, aronia, stock, peonies, sweet peas and plenty more are all coming along to farmers markets this weekend.
While our preorders have closed, we do still have plenty of blooms available for the weekend. Mixed bouquets to grab and go, a stocked stem bar to make up your own bouquet for mom, single type bunches, seeds and cut flower seedlings are all coming along to market.
You can find us at the Trout Lake farmers market Saturday from 9:00-2:00 and the Kitsilano farmers market Sunday from 10:00-2:00 with .
The farmstand on Westham Island will be stocked with mixed bouquets and ranunculus Saturday from 10:00-3:00 or till sold out.

PSA! It’s Mother’s Day this coming Sunday. If you need a gift idea, our Peony Club is still taking sign ups. Weekly bouquets of fresh organic peonies are a great way to celebrate these seasonal blooms. We picked our first handful of peony stems today and it’s going to be a beautiful year for them!
If you’ve already signed up, we expect our first Peony Club bouquets to be ready to pick up May 16th/17th and will be in touch to confirm your pick up dates soon.
Can’t wait to share them with you!

It’s the Flower Moon! And it’s the first full moon of May, with the second, a blue moon, at the end of the month.
New flowers are starting to bloom all the time right now, it definitely is the Flower Moon time.
Aronia, aquilegia and snowball viburnum are all recent to our harvest list, while the ranunculus and anemones have been blooming strong for a few weeks now.
And it’s our first three market weekend too! You can find us at Trout Lake and Riley Park farmers markets on Saturday and the first summer version of the Kitsilano farmers market on Sunday. And the farm stand is stocked with ranunculus for the weekend too. Cut flower seedlings are ready as well. Grow your own bouquets!
