Congratulations to our 2025 Mary Forstbauer Grant recipient! ✨️🎉
Gather Farm and Kitchen, a vendor at the Denman Island Farmers’ Market, is working to create stronger and more diverse food systems in their community.
By using this grant to expand their cool storage capacity, they’ll be able to grow their winter CSA, focus more on growing nutrient-dense grains and pulses, and supply their local food bank with nutritious dietary staples.
We can’t wait to see the results of this project and learn more about how it’s benefitted the Denman community, year-round!
