Our newest little heifer calf. She has a natural pigmentation around her eyes (eyeliner).

This pigment is a highly desirable trait in white-faced cattle, acting as natural sunglasses to reflect harsh UV light, reduces eye cancer and other eye infections.

Lots of calves still to come but she‘s my fav so far ❤️

So proud of Terry & Jeremy this afternoon. They delivered a calf that was upside down and backwards with a first time momma. It was a hard delivery using a calf jack. Born not breathing.

Terry performed CPR on the calf and didn’t give up. The calf started breathing and happy to share this picture of momma and heifer calf.

Calving season and all the pregnant cows.

All our cows are getting their daily proper nutrition of rolled grains, minerals and molasses. Loading the feeders today with fresh hay. The barn will be rebedded with fresh straw and clean calving areas for a healthy birth.

Hoping for a heifer calf from “Yedda“ the cow on the right, cross fingers and I’ll keep you posted.
