Everyone buys 🌻 flowers wrong and we’re here to help !

Everyone knows what a sunflower is, but do you actually know how to choose the best ones to buy ?

People tend to naturally lean towards the more open flowers for the instant gratification. ( fair enough, they’re gorgeous! )
Sunflowers that are more closed looking can last up to twice as long, but they do take a few days in a vase to fully open and start looking gorgeous….

So…how do you choose the best ones? Open closed, both ?

As a general sunflower guide

-fresh as possible ( preferably straight from a farm )
-closed or semi open flowers ( longest vase life )
-ask if blooms are pollen-less if possible ( no staining table those table cloths )

If your buying flowers as a gift for someone else :
Choose bunches that have at least some open flowers so the recipient knows what they’re getting and yet still get great vase life.

If you are buying flowers for yourself:
Don’t be afraid of those closed blooms! Ask your farmer or florist for the ones that will last the longest.
Trust they’re judgment, ** you won’t be disappointed!
