Even though I knew this day was coming,
Its still hard and I still wish for one chance to see you.
One more day chasing a stick
One more day kicking the ball around
One more time stepping on a bone hidden in your blanket
One more bark, tail wag
One more wet nose in my face
One more nudge from under the table.
Thank you for everything you gave us,
Keeping wrinkles warm when she was sick, the hours of throwing sticks, kickin balls and chasin oyotes and keep the yard safe.
You were first there at the gate everytime the truck rolled in with a smile on your face.
Thank you for leading the circus around the yard for morning chores, i’m sure if anyone ever saw it, you would have made they’re day.
If you ever get bored up there, there’ll always be a ball in yard for you.
I wish i could have been there to say good bye.
So till its my turn to go and we meet again, take care Brie, gonna miss you.
See you before you know it

Remembrance Day ~ Lest We Forget

On the 11th hour, when the guns fell silent,
I remember you.
As we remember all those who served and are serving, both past and present; protecting the freedom which we are blessed with.
I thank you.
As the emotive sound of The Last Post fills the air, we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for us all.
Stand down brave soldier, your duty is done.
