Update: baby is doing very well, back out in the barn with Mom this afternoon (she is very happy he has been returned).

However. . . . Apparently I'm getting old and being in a funny position for almost an hour trying to warm up this kid, cause my ankle tendon and ligament to sprain . . . This girl will be braced and on crutches with no weight bearing for minimum 3 weeks, then reassessed. . . . But hey! The baby goat is alive!!!!!

Never a dull moment, went out to the barn to find a lifeless goat kid, very subtle heartbeat and shallow breathing, hypothermic. Brought him in, warmed him in the tub for over an hr, now snuggled on the couch in a Heated blanket, so we can soon tube feed. This child is in her glory, with a house goat for a couple days lol . . . Hopefully we can keep him going, very strong heartbeat now but weak. . . . Fingers crossed!!

It's a girl year for us!! Another 2 girls born today and one buckling. Love the dotted one! Very surprised the mama threw those colors.❤️❤️

Still space on our spring 2026 reservation list. Only 5-8 kids expected this year, weaned end of April.
