And this one means a lot.⁣

We started J&E Meats in our garage in 2018 with a pretty simple goal: raise good food, serve our community well, and build something our family could be proud of.⁣
⁣
Fast forward to today — we have an incredible team, a Farm Store & Butcher Shop we’re so proud of, shelves full of products from our farm and other Canadian businesses, and customers who have supported us every single step of the way. Many of you held our children when they were babies in our “little” original store we had outside our house - and because of you, we’ve all GROWN so much! ⁣

Awards are wonderful, but knowing that our own 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘂𝘀 is what makes these ones so special.⁣

𝘛𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮: thank you for caring about this place like it’s your own. It’s an honour and pleasure to work along side you every single day! ⁣

𝗗𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿… 😴 ⁣

The last few weeks of summer seem so bittersweet. Getting organized for school, vacations wrapping up and the craving for routine to return is real. ⁣
⁣
You know who doesn’t mind summer winding down? The cows. They’re happy as heck roaming the pastures with their beautiful calves at their side. ⁣
⁣
Select groups of our cows have been enjoying pasture time all season long, and will stay on grass until late fall. ⁣
⁣
At home on the farm, we are just beginning to calve and have more fresh new babies arrive! We calve multiple times a year, to ensure we have ample supplies for our store - however, the crop being born now won’t be available for nearly 2 years! That’s how long it takes for our products to reach your plate. ⁣
⁣
For now, we are savouring the slow last few weeks of summertime while we have it. ⁣
⁣
…for real though, anyone else craving FALL? 🍂 ⁣

I am so grateful to every person who responded to my very last-minute call out to film some content. Literally, I posted at 9pm the night before (because as a busy mom and business owner, that’s when all⁣ My best ideas hit me) and had SO MANY of you show up with your sports cars, classics and trucks. ⁣

You never once judged my sparkly boots or my outtakes 🤪. I can’t thank you enough for your unwavering support of all my shenanigans! Some of you even brought your own props for your own upcoming projects, and we shot content for that too!⁣

Are any of you planning to tour out to the farm store tomorrow (Tuesday, August 11th - preferably in the morning between 10am and noon) in a classic car or truck? Or a sports car? We would be shooting promotional material for our upcoming Car Show.

Yes it’s August, but July was a big month around here and I had to give it a little attention. If you haven’t seen the “kind of chic” trend, it’s where you sort of point out things in your life that may or may not be glamorous in everyone’s world, but in someone’s world - they can relate and appreciate it! ⁣
