The Acceptional Riders program at TJ Stables has been operating for 38 years! Nearly 100 volunteers help keep this program alive, and it’s all funded by your generosity 🫶🏻 the proceeds from every donation to the AR program goes directly to 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 - it helps give them opportunities to learn new skills, find their confidence, embrace who they are and feel welcomed. A basic human right that everyone deserves! ⁣

“𝘏𝘖𝘙𝘚𝘌𝘚 𝘈𝘊𝘊𝘌𝘗𝘛, 𝘏𝘖𝘙𝘚𝘌𝘚 𝘏𝘌𝘈𝘓” ⁣

Yesterday, after months of planning the TJ Stables team pulled off an incredible High Tea event to raise money for the Acceptional Riders program. It was a dreamy, fun - filled day with horses, tea, a beautiful lunch, prizes and the poofiest dresses and hats 🤩 it was truly like something out of a movie. ⁣
⁣
Thank you to the entire TJ team for believing in something bigger than us! For showing us all how far a little bit of love can go and the impact it can have. ⁣

𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆!⁣
⁣
This big girl has got a workout the past few weeks - well, her and our entire fleet has 🤣. Planting season this year was rushed, chaotic, and behind. Due to an extremely wet, cold April (that followed suit in may) our “spring” planting season was stretched almost to the limit, and we were still planting corn and beans in June. You don’t have to be a farmer to know that timing is less than ideal, but alas - Mother Nature is in charge! ⁣
⁣
On our farm, we truly do it all ourselves. We tend to the livestock, but we also care for the land. We painstakingly prep our soils for crop, plant, w**d control, grow and harvest all of the food for our animals. This includes row crops and hay! ⁣
⁣
We want to ensure our animals have everything that they need, and manage our operation in ways that we can keep our costs lower so we can pass that onto our customers - it’s all part of the economic ecosystem of running a diverse farm like ours! ⁣

Next up on the to do list for field work is: ⁣

✔️ Cut hay, rake hay, bale hay, put hay away ⁣
✔️ Harvest wheat, bale straw, put straw away ⁣
✔️ Side dress corn, w**d prevention ⁣
