🌿 Have You Ever Seen This Amazing Herb? 🌿

This year I planted Borage in my herb garden, and I have to say—it might be one of the coolest plants I’ve ever grown!

With its fuzzy stems, silvery-green leaves, and beautiful star-shaped blue flowers, it’s a real showstopper. But it’s not just pretty—it’s incredibly useful too.

✨ Why I love Borage:
• Attracts bees and pollinators like crazy 🐝
• The edible blue flowers make beautiful garnishes for salads, desserts, and drinks
• Flowers have a mild cucumber-like flavour
• Helps support nearby plants by bringing beneficial insects into the garden
• Easy to grow and thrives in our Alberta summers

The bees have been absolutely loving it, and it’s quickly become one of the busiest spots in my garden.

🌸 Fun fact: Borage has been grown for centuries and was once believed to bring courage and happiness. Whether that’s true or not, it certainly brings a smile every time I see those bright blue flowers.

I planted it among my herbs this year, and it’s already become one of my favourite garden additions. I can definitely see it becoming a permanent resident in my raised beds!
