City & Country Southdowns

City & Country Southdowns City & Country Southdowns began in 2011 with one and now have around 16 brood ewes.

Genetics consist of Higginson Southdowns, Todd Sheep Compnay and W.E Gates for ewe base and rams from USA, New Zealand and Australia and couple home grown we have used. Flock Genetics - Consist of Todd Sheep Company, MB Genetics mostly with a outcross of Higginson Southdowns and New Zealand/Australian. My flock as History and has Supreme and Champion rams and ewes that trace through the breeding in Canada, US and New Zealand.

Some of the replacement ewe lambs are in another barn for training and exercise, others in another barn. We will be holding back and watching them grow into the new year. Last spring, we purchased a group of brood ewes from Todd Sheep Co, which provided the bloodlines we needed to further develop our flock's and the breed's bloodlines in Canada. Some will be in sales, and some are heading east to start show careers. We look forward to seeing what next year brings when these ladies and our home-grown ewes are matched with our stud rams, along with a Hampshire ewe. Thank you.
